DUNLAP, June Etta

The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 02/23/2016 June Etta Dunlap died Feb. 16, 2016. She was born June 19, 1948, to Willie and Vera Dunlap. She worked the front desk for a long time at the Sunrise Hotel. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and sitting outside her home enjoying the view. She loved raising children, many of them not hers. She always made sacrifices for them and made them feel loved. She is survived by her daughters, Retina Dunlap and Bethany Dunlap; goddaughter Merissah Larzelere; brothers David Dunlap and Harold Dunlap; sister-in-law Barbara Dunlap; many children she raised and cared for over the years; and many nieces, nephews and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Vera Dunlap, brother Paul Dunlap and sister Kristy Dunlap. She will return home for a one-day wake Monday, Feb. 22, and a home service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 23. Silver Creek Mortuary handled arrangements.
