| The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 02/23/2016 Brittany Donna Sexton, 24, resident of Duncan and Alpine, died unexpectedly Feb. 13, 2016, in Silver City, N.M. She was born June 13, 1991, in Safford to Lori E. Sexton and Bob Hales Jr. Brittany lived in Duncan until she was in sixth grade and then moved to Alpine with her mother Lori and stepfather Larry Waters. In Alpine, she worked many hours in the family store and enjoyed many happy times with her mother, grandmother Donna and her cousin/best friend, Jewel Saiz. After traveling down many roads, Brittany moved to Silver City and started working at the Chino Mine as a haul truck driver. She succeeded there, as she did with everything in life, and soon became a rubber tire operator, an accomplishment for which she was very proud. Brittany was very quick to make friends and touched many people in her very short life. She will be dearly missed. She is survived by her parents, Lori and Larry Waters, Bob Hales Jr., grandparents Marvin and Donna Sexton and Loretta Peek; brothers JJ Sexton and Jared Waters; aunts/uncles Wade and Debbie Sexton, Tony and Ellen Saiz and Ivan Sexton; cousins Amy, Kayla, Megan, Jason, Eric and Jewel; and many other relatives, friends and loved ones. “Goodbye ladybug. Fly away home!” Memorial services were held Wednesday, Feb. 24, at the Church of Latter-day Saints in Duncan. |
