Born Sept. 20, 1940, at the Dale Hospital in Poplar, Montana to Adolph and Martha Hibl, Richard's love of Montana's Roosevelt and Valley Counties and his hometown of Poplar ran deep. Richard cited "paying off the loan on the farm" as his biggest accomplishment, along with establishing a trust benefitting Cardiac Care at St. Vincent Healthcare. Living in Reno, Nevada is his brother, Ed. Pre-deceasing Richard are his parents and other four siblings - Mary Hibl Lowe Deschine, Alice Hibl Thorsen, Robert Hibl, and Dorothy Hibl Gross.
