Arizona Republic (Phoenix AZ) Thursday, January 26, 1933, Section 2, p 6 Death Takes Aged Tempean Tempe--William Mace Painter, resident of the Tempe vicinity, died Tuesday night at his home on Farmers avenue. The deceased was 75 years old. Mr. Painter was born at Perry, Mo., and had been a resident of Tempe 35 years. Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Retta Painter; three sons, Mac Painter, Ventura, Calif.; Roy and James of Tempe; three daughters, Mrs. Juanita Campbell, Los Angeles, Mrs. Alberta Burton and Mrs. Marguerite Bassett, Tempe. Ten grandchildren survive, also a sister, Mrs. J. C. Miller, Phoenix, and a brother, H. T. Painter, Perry, Mo. The body is at the Hockrey mortuary, Phoenix. Funeral services will be announced later. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Arizona Republic (Phoenix AZ) Friday, January 27, 1933, Section 2, p 6 Painter Rites Funeral services for William Mace Painter, who died Tuesday night, will be held this afternoon at 2 o'clock at the First Methodist church, with the Rev. H. N. Beimfohr in charge. Interment will be in Double Butte cemetery.
