| The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Saturday, March 5, 2016, page 5a Mary Margaret Fitzgerald Letts December 14, 1929 - February 25, 2016 Mary Margaret Fitzgerald Letts, 86, passed away Thursday, Feb. 25, 2016. She was born Dec. 14, 1929, in Toledo, Ohio to Claire and Eileen Fitzgerald. Her father died in 1930 and her mother Eileen remarried Ken Crill several years later. Mary moved with her parents to Midland, Michigan in 1940. After graduating from Midland High School in 1947, Mary went to work for Dow Chemical in Plastic Sales. In 1950, she married Francis Ensign and they had five children. She became a Licensed Practical Nurse in 1967. Mary married Richard Letts in 1976 and they moved to Seal Beach, California in 1979. There she went back to school to become a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor. Mary loved her work, retiring from the National Council on Alcoholism in Santa Ana, California at the age of 76. She moved to Prescott, Arizona in 2006 where she remained a very active member of the Recovery Community, always eager to help the newcomers. Francis Ensign, Richard Letts and her youngest son, Kelly Ensign preceded Mary in death. She is survived by her daughter Eileen Ensign of Prescott, Arizona; and three sons John Ensign of Prescott, Arizona, Scott Ensign and Casey Ensign of Midland, Michigan; her three brothers Charlie Crill of Camarillo, California, Michael Crill of Sun City, Arizona and Jim Crill of San Antonio, Texas; her two sisters Joan Mitchell of Gardena, California and Catherine Truche of Strasbourg, France. She leaves behind six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a host of extended family and friends. Mary was a very warm person with a terrific sense of humor who embraced life fully. She has now returned home to God. There will be a Celebration of Life for Mary Margaret on Saturday, March 5, 2016 from 2 to 4 p.m. at Safe Harbor, 520 W. Delano St., Prescott, AZ 86301.
