May 27, 1927 - March 8, 2016

Janet A. Alfano (nee Esdohr) died March 8, 2016, in Prescott, Arizona. She was born May 27, 1927, in Chicago, Illinois.

Janet retired to Prescott in 1985 from Des Plaines, Illinois. She was instrumental with working on the horse trail system in Prescott and also involved with Prescott Frontier Days for many years. She was involved with horses all her life.

She was preceded in death by her parents John and Georgiana (Klein) Esdohr and sisters Shirley and Virginia.

She is survived by husband Leroy; son Jerry (Edie); daughter Jody Peterson; grandsons Craig (Rachel) Peterson, Eric Yingling, Scott (Jenny) Yingling; and two great grandsons, Zane and Bridger Peterson; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 12, 2016, at Hampton Funeral Home, 240 S. Cortez St., Prescott, Arizona.

Donations may be made to Yavapai Trail System or Good Samaritan Society-Marley House, 1065 Ruth St., Prescott, AZ 86301 in honor of Janet’s name.

Hampton Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
