| Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ - Published on March 10, 2016 - Josephine (Dolly) Ann (Cosmano) Hendley, 84, passed away Saturday, Feb. 27, 2016 after losing her fight with leukemia. Dolly was born in Rochester, N.Y., March 26, 1931, the daughter of Domenic and Mary Cosmano. In the early 1970s, she made her home in Lake Havasu City where her younger brother was living with his family. She was later joined by her mother and younger sister and still later by her daughter and son-in-law. The quality in family times spent then were and still are treasured. Dolly was always active in crafts. She loved to do needlepoint and knitting. For a while she had her own knitting shop, “Dolly’s Knit Shop” in Havasu where she gave lessons. She was also an avid painter. The many hours she gave to her craft were truly from the heart as all of it was created with love and given as gifts to loved ones on special occasions. When not busy with needlepoint, Dolly was trying out new recipes on the family to their great pleasure. Her chili deserves the all-time blue ribbon. She even put together a cookbook of her favorite recipes. Dolly is survived by her daughter, Kathleen (Robert) Follet; son, Raymond LaDue of Rock Springs, Wyo.; sister Francis Dimino and fiancé Frank Cosmano; brother, James (Gert) Cosmano; five grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins. |
