| The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 03/04/2016 Nashley Michael Tessay Jr. entered into rest Feb. 21, 2016, after a long battle of illness. He was born Feb. 16, 1964, to Verna (Johnson) Williams and Nashley Tessay Sr. Nashley was better known as “Boston” by his friends and family. He was a firefighter as well as a carpenter who used his skills building the Cibecue Post Office. Nashley loved competitive sports, playing basketball and baseball. His hobbies included fishing and going on hikes. His favorite Apache singer was his nephew, Joseph “Jojo” Tessay. Nashley is survived by his mother, Verna Williams; brothers Travis Tessay Sr., Nathan Tessay, Norton Tessay Sr. and Justin Cromwell Sr.; sisters Myrna Tessay, Beuna Tessay, Verneva Tessay, Ethelena Riley and Cynthia Adgerson; companion Lorinda Declay; sons Timothy Tessay and Michael Raymond Tessay; as well as many nephews and nieces and aunts and uncles. Nashley was preceded in death by his father, Nashley Tessay Sr., and niece Nadine Tessay. A wake was held Thursday, March 3, at 101 N. Dehose Lane, in Cibecue. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 5, the at St. Catherine Catholic Church in Cibecue. Silver Creek Mortuary in Whiteriver handled arrangements. |
