The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 03/11/2016 Nadine Eloise Paxson Cruz died March 2, 2016, in Whiteriver after a long battle of illness. She was born Feb. 1, 1970, to Valentino Velasquez and Ella Paxson. She was a laborer in construction and lived in Whiteriver. She is survived by her mother: Ella Paxson; daughters Jessica Cruz and Elyse Cruz; sons Tom Cruz and Jameson Cruz Jr.; three granddaughters, Davanee Tortice, Jayden Damon and Coraline Damon; grandson Luke Chavez; uncles Victor Velasquez and Marshall Paxson; and cousins Kasey Velasquez and Andrea Velasquez. A wake was held Thursday, March 10, in Canyon Day. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, March 11, at the Canyon Day Assembly of God Church in Canyon Day. Silver Creek Mortuary handled arrangements.
