Angelina H. (Foussat) Flores

Angelina H. Flores went to be with the Lord March 3, 2016, after a long battle of illness in Snowflake. She was born Aug. 14, 1923, to Ramon and Theresa Foussat.

Angelina lived in Oceanside, Calif., for 85 years before moving to San Marcos, Calif., then spending her final days in Snowflake with her daughter.

Her hobbies were spending time with her grandchildren and family members, playing bingo, word-search puzzles and jigsaw puzzles.

She was married in Yuma to Flavio Flores for 32 years until his passing in 1979. She attended school in Oceanside, Calif., and belonged to the Catholic church.

She worked in the laundry and dry cleaning business until she retired at the age of 80. She is a member of the San Luis Rey Band of Luiseno Indians.

Angelina is survived by her daughter, Vicki Granados, and son-in-law, Edward, of Snowflake; sisters Clara Guy of San Marcos and Fedora Godinez of Kauai, Hawaii; grandchildren Roland Granados of San Marcos, Paul Granados of Snowflake, Jeannette Avila of Rincon, Rene Moreno of Oceanside, Calif., Richard Jaime of Oceanside, Yolanda Valasco of Oceanside, Nancy Jaime of Oceanside, Chato Jaime of Pala, Gregory Flores of Oregon and Amy Booth of San Marcos; as well as 63 great and great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ramon and Theresa Foussat; husband Flavio Flores; sons Luis P. Jaime of Chato, Kenneth J. Jaime of Nito and Edward A. Flores; sisters Louise Foussat, Laura Contreras and Helen Granados; brothers Johnny Foussat, Bernell Foussat, Louie Foussat, Hubert Foussat and Richard Foussat.

A potluck celebration of life will be held Saturday, April 9, at Capistrano Park, 770 Capistrano Drive, in Oceanside.

Silver Creek Mortuary of Taylor handled arrangements.
