John L. Watt died March 6, 2016, in Phoenix. He was born Dec. 2, 1953, in Sacaton to William Watt and Eva Tulene-Lase.

John was a maintenance man in the housing industry. He was a fisherman, former altar boy and renowned pitcher for Little League. John was a traveler to many places. He enjoyed being around his grandchildren.

He is survived by a daughter, Johnna (Anthony) Perez; sons William (Ina) Watt and Samuel Watt; grandchildren Francis Lee, Amarion Lee, Antone Perez, Langley Watt, Joseph Watt, Robin Watt, Ava Watt, Nevaeh Hendricks and Valak Endfield; brother Reuben (Beverly) Kessay; sister Ora Seymour; plus many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and grandchildren.

A wake will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, March 11, across from the Rose of Sharon Church at 204 E. 57th St. in Whiteriver. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 12, at the Whiteriver Catholic Church.

Silver Creek Mortuary of Whiteriver handled arrangements.
