| Camp Verde Bugle, Cottonwood, Arizona Thursday, March 10, 2016 Donavon 'Don' Kreun 1934 - 2016 Don Kreun, 81, of Cottonwood, AZ, formerly of Slayton, MN, passed away on March 1, 2016. Don was born on July 12, 1934 in Edgerton, Minnesota to Lawrence and Florence Kreun. Don worked for UPS and he and his wife, Kay, owned and operated the Broadway Bowl in Slayton, MN for twelve years. In 1985 they moved to Quartzsite, AZ where they worked and made their home base for 30 years but traveled and worked in various jobs in Arizona, Nevada and the Marshall Islands. Don loved his grandchildren with all of his heart and dearly loved spending time with them. Friends and family will miss his genuinely kind heart and his terrific sense of humor. Don was preceded in death by his two daughters, Verla Jean and Wanda Mae, his parents, two sisters, Lois and June Fritz, and brother, Carroll (Bub) Kreun. He is survived by his wife, Kay, brother Loren of Thurmond, Maryland, sons Rick Coombs of Olympia, WA, Mark Kreun and Julie of Hull, Iowa, Gregg Kreun and Susan of Chandler, AZ, granddaughters, Alexis, Abbie and Audrey Kreun of Iowa and granddaughter Samantha and grandsons Richard of Tempe, AZ and Eddie Kreun of Chandler, AZ. A private memorial service is planned for a later date. Information provided by survivors. |
