| Camp Verde Bugle, Cottonwood, Arizona Thursday, March 19, 2016 Juanita Vargas 1935-2016 Juanita Vargas, 80, of Cottonwood died March 12, 2016 in Cottonwood. She was born May 13, 1935 in Jerome, the daughter of Jose and Carlotta (Guerrero). She attended schools in Jerome. She was housewife and mother. She was married for 63 years to her high school sweetheart and soul mate, the boy next door. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Parish. Mrs. Vargas enjoyed hunting companion, dancing to Mexican music, watching her sons play baseball. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy. Her family remembers her as the "Ladybug" of Angels' life. She was preceded in death by her sons, David Anthony Vargas. Mrs. Vargas leaves her husband, Angel "Tony" Vargas; a son Angel "Bobby" Vargas (Elizabeth) of Rimrock; daughters Susan Vargas Frank (Gary) of Phoenix and Loretta Vargas Donovan (Billy) of Cottonwood; a brother Lorenzo Ruiz (Carmen) of Clarkdale; Ralie Ramos of Marysville, California; ten grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; a few great-great-grandchildren. A Recitation of the Holy Rosary followed by a Funeral Mass was held Wednesday, March 16. Burial was in All Souls Cemetery.
