| The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, AZ September 23, 2009 Donald Bruce Wagner, 77, of Phoenix, passed away Monday, September 21, 2009. The fourth of six children, he was born on February 25, 1932 in Brooklyn, New York to Charles H. and Edna Johnson Wagner. Don was a veteran of the Korean War and a skilled bartender working at Sky Harbor Airport entertaining countless travelers with his humorous stories and jokes. Don retired in 1997 as a U.S. Postal Service carrier in the Arcadia area. He had many interests and loved boating, fishing and sailing in San Diego and the Arizona lakes. He was also a member of the Coast Guard Auxiliary, Flotilla 10-7. Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Lois; step-children, Beverly (Guy) Adair, Dennis (Marjory) Austin; son, Donald B. Wagner, Jr.; sister, Naomi (Bill) Olson of Maine; brother, John (Myrna) Wagner of New York; grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Laurie Wagner; brother, Charles Wagner and sister, Ruth Townsend. Services will be held at 11AM, Thursday, September 24, 2009, Hansen Desert Hills Chapel, 6500 E. Bell Rd., Scottsdale. He will be laid to rest at Paradise Memorial Gardens, 9300 E.
