| The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Thursday, March 18, 2016, page 12a Joaquin Castrejon Jr. U.S. Veteran July 12, 1934 - March 10, 2016 Joaquin Augustine Castrejon Jr., born July 12, 1934 in Chicago, Illinois, passed away peacefully at his home in Prescott Valley, Arizona on March 10, 2016. He was one of four children. His career began when he joined the navy after completing three tours of duty and being honorably discharged. He continued service to his country as an electronics technician with the FAA for 30 years. He met his wife at a downtown dance studio in Chicago in the mid-50s. They were both accomplished dancers. In 1958, they were married on the Southwest side of Chicago. Fifteen years later, they moved to Harding, Illinois where he built his own home. Later in 2000, he and his wife moved to Prescott Valley, Arizona. Joaquin A. Castrejon Jr. is survived by Gail J. Castrejon (wife) of Arizona; a sister and brother; four children; 13 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Where he lived for 17 years with his wife of 58 years, Gail J. Castrejon. He was born in Chicago, IL on July 12, 1934. One of 4 children born to Joaquin Sr. and Victoria Castrejon. Two sisters and one brother Victoria Julitz, Arthur Castrejon, Carmen Toy(deceased). After high school he joined the navy. He was stationed in Guantanamo Bay during the Bay of Pigs invasion. He was Honorably Discharged. He later joined the Naval Reserves. While he was in service he went to college and finished to become an electronics technician. He later used his education to become an electronics technician at the FAA. He continued his education throughout his career. He met his wife at a downtown dance studio in Chicago in the mid 50′s. They were both accomplished dancers. He appeared on the “Dance for Dollars” show on t.v., and won. In 1958 they were married on the Southwest side of Chicago. Fifteen years later they moved to Harding, IL where he built his own home. Later in 2000 he and his wife moved to Prescott Valley, AZ. Joaquin A. Castrejon Jr. is survived by: Gail J.
