Resident Jacksons of Prescott have received news from Rushville, Ill., of the death of Ezra Jackson, at the ripe age of over 90 years.
The deceased was a brother of Calvin, Zaddock, Jesse and Solomon Jackson, well known early-day pioneers of Arizona, all of whom have passed over the Great Divide. The last of the family to be summoned was in many respects a remarkable man.
He did not join his sisters and brothers in the pilgrimage across the Rockies in the 50's, but remained steadfast and prospered at the old home. He had resided continuously in and about Rushville for the span of eighty-four years, and according to press reports, his passing was made a day of bereavement to all people in the community where he resided for so long and which he had materially assisted to build up, being one of the first to locate on what was then the western frontier.
