| Weekly Journal Miner, Prescott, Arizona Wednesday, December 8, 1915, page 6, column 4 J. Thomas Brown Succumbs To Paralysis (From Saturday's Daily) J. Thomas Brown, an old resident of Prescott last night succumbed to paralysis at the Mercy hospital after an illness of over eighteen months. Brown, who is 57 years old and was born in the state of Massachusetts, passed away about 11 o'clock and the body was immediately taken to Ruffner's undertaking parlors. He has no known relatives and leaves a ranch on the Copper Basin road. Six weeks ago Brown, who had been at his home in California suffering from paralysis for over a year had a stroke of apoplexy and it was necessary to take him to the hospital for proper care.
