Margaret Maude (Anders) Willis

Margaret Maude (Anders) Willis, 69, of Peoria lost her courageous battle with cancer on March 23, 2016. She was a lady with a remarkable spirit and an urgent will to live and help others. Margaret gave a positive attitude and love of life to all who knew her. She died peacefully, surrounded by her family.

She was born May 10, 1946, in Wickenburg to Frances and Houston Anders.

She retired as Computer Operations Supervisor after 35 years for the City of Glendale. Her hobbies included traveling, quilting, and sewing. Margaret traveled extensively in Europe and the United States.

She was preceded in death by her brothers Noble Anders, Harold Metzke, and Arthur Metzke.

She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Gary Willis; daughters Kendra Paddock (Ernie) and Cheryl Topete; grandson Wesley Stephenson (Kirsten); granddaughter Kodi Willis; and niece Margaret Metzke. Her extended family includes many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews.

Her love for friends and family kept her going against insurmountable odds. Services will be held at 11 a.m. April 9 at Menke Funeral Home, 12420 N. 103rd Ave., Sun City.
