| Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home, Prescott, Arizona Wednesday, April 6, 2016 Lana J. Slaughter Our beloved mom pass away at home on March 4, 2016 with her son and daughter by her side. She was born in Royal Oak Michigan in 1941, and moved to Arizona in 1958. Mom worked at Allied Signal for 20+ years as machinist. She loved camping,fishing,painting,playing cards and bingo. Every summer she would spend time in Munds Park with Grandma and cousin Stephen planting flowers, BBQing, ATVing, and enjoying friends. She was a compassionate loving wife to her late husband Cotton and a caregiver to her stepdaughter Lori Ann. She was the best mom to her son James Lee and her daughter Terry Kim, best aunt to nephew Stephen, best sister to Lois, Dale, John and Marina. She was the best grandma to Amanda, Alisha and Joshua, best great grandma to Alexandra and Aria, longtime best friends with Maxine and furry friend Charlie. We will miss her voice, her laugh, and her touch. Butterfly Kisses mom! Celebration of Life on April 19 @ Terry and Jerry's home. |
