| The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 04/05/2016 Janet Marie LaRocque, 69, died Tuesday March 29, 2016, with family members by her side in St. Johns. She was born Aug. 11, 1946, in Irvington, N.J., to Ernest Alfred LaRocque and Regina Lilliane Gauthier. Janet loved gardening and sending birthday cards every year to family and friends. She enjoyed reading and playing games. She had a ready smile and cute giggle. She had a love for bookkeeping and in her later years put herself through school to earn a degree. She always said she loved to dress nicely each day with her hair and makeup done. She was a true lady. She was preceded in death by her father, Ernest Alfred LaRocque, and her mother, Regina Lilliane Gauthier. She leaves behind two children, Todd William Howard and Melissa Suzanne Waite of St. Johns; four siblings, Mike LaRocque, Linda Gaskins, Annette LaRocque and Mark LaRocque; and nine grandchildren, Abbie, Jacob, Lydia, Brooke, Rachel, Trevor, Betsy, Esther and Braxton. Janet loved flowers so flowers would be much appreciated. Monetary donations to cover funeral expenses will also be gratefully accepted. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 8, at the LDS downtown chapel in St. Johns with a viewing prior at 9:30 a.m. in the Relief Society room. |
