Patricia (Vicki) Jean Kerber

Patricia (Vicki) Jean Kerber passed away peacefully on March 5, 2016 surrounded by her loved ones in her home Cornville, Arizona. Vicki was 83 years old. Vicki was born August 28, 1932 in Omaha, Nebraska to Ray and Beulah Goodman and raised in Northern California with her brother Ray J Goodman. Vicki attended El Cerrito High School. As a young teen, Vicki would frequently visit her grandfather in Clear Lake, California where he had entered her in the Miss Clear Lake Beauty Pageant at the age of 16 and she won. She briefly went into nursing at Holy Name College, then met and married her husband Edward Kerber on June 18, 1951. They had two children, daughter Cynthia Lynne, and son Edward Gregory. With a new opportunity in Phoenix, Arizona the young family moved from California. Vicki was a devoted mother and homemaker as her husband pursued this career as a mason, then later on became a general contractor and homebuilder; E.A. Kerber Construction and Mastercraft Homes. Vicki moved to Cornville, Arizona in 1996. In the Verde Valley it did not take her long to become very active in the American Legion Post 25, VFW, The Lions Club and the Arizona Federation of Republican Women, to which she became Region V Director.

Vicki is survived by her brother Ray J Goodman of Santee, California; Daughter Cynthia Kerber-Battisti and husband Greg Battisti Cornville, Arizona; Son Edward Gregory Kerber Glendale, Arizona; Grandsons; James (JEF) Funch; Adam Kerber, his wife Monique; Klinton Kerber; Benjamin Kerber; Great Grandchildren; Ariel, Madison and Skyler Funch, Christian and Ashlynn Kerber. A celebration of life will be held at 1205 South Brookside Drive Cornville Arizona on April 17th 2016 at 10:30 AM.
