| Arizona Wakelin Ruffner Funeral Home, Prescott, Arizona March 2016 Timothy Martin Grumbles Timothy M. Grumbles, 62, Prescott, Arizona, proud native and life-long supporter of Kentucky, passed away peacefully on March 14, 2016, after enduring several years of lung disease. He was born in Louisville, Kentucky in 1953 to Betty and Cecil Grumbles. He grew up in a family of 4 children, graduated from Louisville Country Day High School, Denison University in Ohio, worked in various retail and service jobs in Lexington, Kentucky, and moved to Prescott, Arizona in 2004 to eventually become the business manager of Prescott House, an addiction recovery center. Tim was a devoted son and brother and dedicated sports enthusiast. After moving to Arizona, he spent much of his time in Scottsdale, caring for and connecting with his parents on all things Kentucky and sports-related, particularly horse racing. He was an avid fan of college football, having been an outstanding high school player himself. Other hobbies over the years included reading history and literature, cooking, target-shooting, and collecting memorabilia. Survivors include his sister Kathy Mehr of Scottsdale, Arizona, brother Breck Grumbles of Tucson, Arizona, and brother Ben Grumbles of Baltimore, Maryland, along with their family members and several very special friends in Arizona, New Mexico, and Kentucky. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Lung Association. |
