YAZZIE, Thelma Mary Thelma Mary Yazzie went home to be with the Lord April 16, 2009, in Cedar Creek. She was born May 16, 1931, in Cedar Creek. She is survived by her, husband, Donald Yazzie; children Herbert Cosay, George Ann Hendricks, George Hendricks, Ben Hendricks and Caroline Hendricks; siblings Rosina Lupe, Cosay Reidhead, Hannah Brooks, Lowell Altaha and Renee Altaha; grandchildren Charles R. Irving Jr., Lucas Irving, Cheray Sharp, Esther Hendricks, Elias Hendricks and Khris Ashton; eight great-grandchildren, many cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Dan Cosay; stepfather Rufus Altaha; mother Clarice Altaha and brother Elmo Altaha Sr. A one-night wake will be held at her daughter's home, GeorgeAnn Hendricks' residence (Apache Dawn House No. 144) in Cedar Creek Friday, April 24, at 10 a.m. Funeral service will be held Saturday, April 25, at 10 a.m. at the Assembly of God Church in Cedar Creek with Pastor Martinez officiating. Interment will be at the Mourning Dove Cemetery in Cedar Creek. Silver Creek Chapel Mortuary of Whiteriver handled the arrangements. White Mountain Independent 04/24/2009
