The Prescott Courier, Prescott, Arizona Tuesday, September 7, 1977, page 23 Vera M. Hubbard Vera M. Hubbard, 72, died Sunday at Yavapai Community Hospital. She was born Jan. 9, 1905 in Nebraska and moved to Prescott from Long Beach, Calif. in 1947. She worked for the old Safeway store as a checker in the early 50's. She also spent much of her time in the out-of-doors that she loved so much. Survivors include: a daughter, Mrs. Wanda R. Sitz of Covina, Calif. and three grandchildren. Graveside services will be conducted by the Rev. Merle Heatwole at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Mountain View Cemetery. Ruffner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
