| The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Saturday, April 16, 2016, page 7a Charlane Johnson Harper, “Roni”, was born in San Bernardino, California, Dec. 4, 1923, to Jefferson C. Johnson and Sally Mona Lane. She graduated from Prescott High School in 1942 and joined the Women’s Air Corp. in 1944, released as a Corporal in December of 1945. Roni moved to the Arizona Pioneer’s home at the age of 87, and passed away peacefully in her room April 13, 2016. Roni married Wallace Harper Nov. 12, 1956. After his death in 1979, Roni worked as supervisor of housekeeping at the Prescottonian Motel for several years and later at the Sheraton Resort. She is survived by a son Charles and wife, Debbie; daughters Sara (Sally) Bates and husband Patrick, Jiminell Cook and husband David, Perilee Sharp and husband Everett, and Jeanie Andrews and husband Brook. Also by 23 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson. Memorial service is planned June 11 at Yavapai Posse House. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to ARIZONA PIONEEER’S HOME SPECIAL FUND and in the “memo” place ACTIVITIES.
