David “Popcorn Dave” Poljak, born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, on July 13, 1938, passed away April 1, 2016.

Dave served in the Navy and had no known living relatives, but he had many friends who loved him and he loved them in return. In his younger years, Dave loved dancing at the Bird Cage. He worked at Treat Center making gourmet popcorn, thus his nickname, “Popcorn Dave.”

Dave also lived in L.A. in the 1960s; Cape Cod, Massachusetts; Flagstaff and Prescott since the early 1990s.

A “Remembering Dave” celebration will take place at the Bird Cage Saloon on Sunday, April 24, at 11 a.m. Potluck and Cash Bar.
