Maggie Edith Hood Giertz, passed away May 7, 2007, in Prescott, Arizona.

Maggie was born to Cyrus Eugene Hood and Ada Jane Bankston on March 22, 1921, in Jack, Mississippi.

She was preceded in death by her spouse, Herman Curtis Giertz; sons, Preston Eugene Turnage and Steve Giertz.

Maggie is survived by sons, John A. Turnage (Anita), Larry Giertz (Jane); daughter, Kay Romney (David); 18 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren.

Services will be 10 a.m. Monday, May 14, at the LDS Church, 1001 N. Ruth Street, Prescott, Arizona with the viewing at 9 a.m.

The Hampton Funeral Home was entrusted with the arrangements.
