| McDougal's Caldwell Funeral Chapel, Safford, Arizona Gerardo Garcia, Jr. April 22, 1956 - April 17, 2016 Gerardo Garcia, 59, of Safford, passed away on Sunday, April 17, 2016. Gerardo was born on April 22, 1956 in Las Cruces, New Mexico to Gerardo and Sofia Garcia. Gerardo grew up in Las Cruces before moving at the age of 10 to Arizona where he finished High School. After graduation, he worked construction for many years. In his free time, he enjoyed cooking, bar-b-queing, visiting Mexico and especially loved spending time with family. Gerardo is survived by his two sons, Steven and Gerardo Garcia, his parents, Gerardo and Sofia Garcia, siblings, Paul, Rosie Perez, Henry, Angel, Peter, Paula, Johnny and Bel Garcia and seven grandchildren. A viewing will be held for Gerardo at 9:00 a.m. and Rosary will be prayed at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, April 25, 2016 at St Rose of Lima Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Father Robert Rodriquez as celebrant. Interment will be at a later date. |
