He was born in Wakefield, Nebraska on June 10, 1921 and moved to Show Low, Arizona in the 1980s. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He was preceded in death by 14 brothers and sisters; his wife of 60 years, Florine Lyman; and son Kenneth Williams. He is survived by his daughters, Patricia Lyman, and Beverly Cutler; 3 grandchildren, James Carruth, Richard Carruth and Michele Williams; 2 great-grandchildren, Jake Carruth and Jessica Springfield, and 3 great-great-grandchildren. No public services are scheduled at this time.
