| Norvel Owens Mortuary, Flagstaff, Arizona Eve Watson (November 21, 1936 - April 11, 2016) Eve Watson, aged 79 of Flagstaff, AZ, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 11, 2016 at 6:30 p.m. at her home surrounded by family and close friends. Eve was born on November 21, 1936 in Phoenix, AZ. She is a graduate of Yuma High School, Class of 1954. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Stephens College in 1975. Subsequently she earned her Master of Arts degree in Supervision of Educators from the University of Arizona in 1977. In 2009 Eve retired from the National Park Service at Grand Canyon, AZ. Eve was engaging, full of spirit and loved life! She had many dear friends, enjoyed traveling, was an avid reader, and was actively engaged in her local church and community. Eve was involved in many charitable organizations including Father Wasson’s orphans in Haiti. Most of all Eve treasured spending time with family and friends. Eve is preceded in death by her parents James Arthur (2002) and Emma Amelia (Verrue) (2003) Melton; her sister, Phyllis Meade (2012); daughter-in-law Lisa Ahearn (2007); and grandson JP Croswhite (2013). She is survived by her siblings; Nancy (& LeeRoy) Tillman of Glencoe, OK, Sylvia (& Charles) Mabrey of Yuma, AZ, and James Melton of Gilbert, AZ. Eve is also survived by her children and their spouses; Pamela (& Pete) Terrebonne of San Diego, CA, Paul (& Terri) Croswhite of Castaic, CA, Penelope Ahearn Er (& Cevat Er) of Ankara, Turkey; Philip Croswhite of Ostheim vor der Rhon, Germany; Adrian (& Heather) Ahearn of San Diego, CA; Peter Ahearn of Tucson, AZ, and Kathleen (& Matt) Cooper of Papillion, NE. She is survived by 20 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren. Friends and family are welcome to attend the celebration of life on Sunday, April 17, 2016, from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. at Unity of Flagstaff, 6134 E. Black Bill Rd. Remembrance service to be held following the church service at Grand Canyon National Park - Desert View, from 5:00 pm to sunset. See Also: Find A Grave |
