Rosary for Richard O. Mendoza, 61, native Arizonan, was recited last 
night in the Whitney and Murphy Funeral Home.

Requiem high mass was sung this morning in Immaculate Heart Catholic 
Church.  The Thunderbird Post of the American Legion conducted graveside services  at St. Francis Cemetery.

Mr. Mendoza, born in Jerome, died Tuesday in the Phoenix Veterans 
Administration Hospital.  A retired blacksmith, he has resided in Phoenix 43 years.

Surviving are his wife, Dolores; 11 daughters, Miss Elda Gomez of 
Phoenix, Mrs. Angelita Murieta of Casa Grande, Mrs. Lucy Bustillo of 
Tempe, and Mrs. Lupe Saiz, Mrs. Dora Gomez, Mrs. Lily Grijalva, Mrs. 
Alice Gaona, Mrs. Hortensia Ortiz, Mrs. Martha Navarro, Mrs. Amelia 
Johnson, and Mrs. Christina Abril, all of Phoenix; four sons, Ralph and 
Raul Gomez, both of Phoenix, Romulado Gomez of Los Angeles, and Ricardo 
Gomez of Grants, N.M.; two brothers, Diego Mendoza of Phoenix and Ray 
Mendoza of Los Angeles; and 32 grandchildren.
