Arizona Republic (Phoenix AZ) Monday, September 6, 1948, p 14 Death Takes Frank Jordan Frank E. Jordan, 65 years old, a Phoenix resident since 1936 and a member of the state legislature in 1941, died yesterday in St. Monica's Hospital after a two weeks' illness. A native of Brooklyn, N.Y., Mr. Jordan came to Arizona from Santa Rosa, Calif., in 1916 and settled in the Oak Creek and Jerome area. When he moved to Phoenix he opened a paint contracting business, the Jordan Paint Company, which he has since maintained. Mr. Jordan was well known in Jerome for his union activities while residing in that area. He resided at 3527 East Princeton street. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Marie L. Jordan; three daughters, Mrs. Anna Lou Bureman, Mrs. Elsie Frey and Mrs. Patricia Esmay, and a son, Eric W. Jordan, all of Phoenix; two sisters, Mrs. Charles Gunhilde Colden and Miss Helen Dose of White Stone, Long Island, N.Y., and nine grandchildren. Services will be conducted at 9 a.m. Wednesday from Memory Chapel of A. L. Moore and Sons mortuary.
