| Arizona Republic (Phoenix AZ) Thursday, November 20, 1947, p 5 F. T. Jordan Dies Here Frank Thomas Jordan, prominent local painting contractor and long-time resident of the community, died yesterday at his home, 2525 North 13th street, following an illness of more than a year. He was 40 years old. Owner of the Jordan Paint Company, 2934 North 16th street, Mr. Jordan had operated that business for seven years. He also was active in the Painters and Decorators Association, having served one term as president. A native of Oakland, Calif., Mr. Jordan came to the state from that city in 1916, first settling in Cornflower, a Verde Valley community. He had been a Phoenix resident 14 years. Mr. Jordan was a member of Arizona Lodge No. 2, Free and Accepted Masons, and also belonged to the Sciots. He is survived by his wife, Ruby; a son, Frank Edwin, and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank E. Jordan, all of Phoenix; three sisters, Mrs. Anna Lou Bureman of Colorado, Mrs. Elsie Marie Frye, Scottsdale, and Mrs. Patricia Esmay, Phoenix, and a brother, Erick W. Jordan, also of Phoenix. Funeral services will be held from the Memory Chapel of A. L. Moore and Sons Mortuary at 10 o'clock Saturday morning, the Rev. George Barton, assistant pastor of the First Baptist Church, officiating.
