Billie Jean Joyce passed away Tuesday May 24, 2016, at Wickenburg Community Hospital.

The world will miss her willingness to help others, and her complete devotion to her family.

She was born on April 26, 1928, in Watonga, Okla., to Marvin and Florence Jones. Her life experiences were many and varied, but culminated in a major event in her life, meeting her husband Stephen Joyce, in a production of “A Streetcar Named Desire” at Williams Air Force base in Chandler.

As a child she was a gifted singer and dancer and she maintained a love of theater throughout her life.

This road would eventually lead to her very successful 20-year career as the Broadway Theater Box Office treasurer, the largest Broadway Theater in New York City.

She enjoyed antiquing, crossword puzzles, cooking, and threw awesome parties. She also enjoyed writing, self-publishing five books and entertaining a large audience with the stories she wrote on Facebook.

She was the beloved wife of Stephen, and they were inseparable for 60-plus years.

She had three children, Toni, Michael, and Carol.

She is survived by two of her children, Michael and Carol; six grandchildren Christine, Melissa, J.J., Hans, Jenny and Siobhan. In addition she is survived by nine great-grandchildren Ashley, Nika, Rutger, CeCe, Alexandria, Jocelyn, Michaela, Zachery and Addison. She loved them all very much.

Sadly, her sisters Evelyn, Arbleta and Beulah are predeceased.

Services will be held Thursday, June 2 at David’s Desert Chapel in Wickenburg. Viewing will commence at 10 a.m. with services at 11 a.m.
