Gary McConnell was born Aug. 19, 1936 in Imperial, Nebraska. He died May 20, 2016 in Prescott, Arizona.

Gary served in the U.S. Navy for 26 years as a helicopter pilot, retiring as a Commander. He was a decorated veteran, earning a Silver Star and three Bronze Stars.

He is survived by his loving family, Gail, wife of 56 years; daughters Tracy (Doug), Leslie (Murphy); granddaughter Maggie; and his sister Jackie (Leon).

A remembrance will be scheduled this summer.
