James Earl LeVick

Loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and brother passed away May 20, 2016 from a long battle with congestive heart failure. James was born Dec. 5, 1946 in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

He was preceded in death by his father, Buford LeVick; daughter LeseAnna LeVick; and son Devin Alexander LeVick. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Gail LeVick of Chino Valley, Arizona; mother Dorothy LeVick of Tulsa, Oklahoma; daughter Krista Devin Alexandra LeVick of Chino Valley, Arizona; granddaughter Courtney Lauren Blackmore of Show Low, Arizona; granddaughter Kendra Ashlyn Blackmore of Show Low, Arizona; sister

Carole Waugh (Tom) of Flower Mound, Texas; sister Sherry Herrin of Tulsa, Oklahoma; and brother Jack LeVick of Bernalillo, New Mexico.

James grew up in his hometown and graduated from Palmer High School in 1964. Then furthering his education at Colorado University in Boulder. He began his professional career at The Gazette Telegraph working as a display advertiser. Later, James would move his young family to Scottsdale, Arizona and it is there he would live out the majority of his adult life.

He was known to be a hardworking man with a specialty for management whom rightfully earned his retirement and relocated a few years ago to his final resting place, a ranch in Chino Valley, Arizona. James was a lover of animals and nature but most importantly, lived for his beloved family and will be sorely missed by many.
