The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Sunday, May 29, 2016 Our mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, Laura “Jean” Whitman Fox joined John C. Fox, her beloved husband and father of their children, on May 26, 2016. Born Jan. 15, 1935 in Doylestown, Ohio, Jean moved to Arizona in 1947 with her parents, Leo and Laura Whitman, and 10 siblings in a converted school bus. John and Jean married in 1959 and made Prescott their home in 1975. The Whitman-Fox clan were near and dear to Jean’s heart. She was an active member of Sacred Heart Church and is survived by six children; 14 grandchildren; and her first great granddaughter. Jean adored her home and always claimed she had ‘the best view in Prescott’. There will be a graveside service at 9 a.m. on June 25, 2016 at Mountain View Cemetery in Mesa, Arizona. In lieu of flowers, the family asks you to support Cancer and Alzheimer’s charities of your choice. ‘SLI FOX’ sightings will be missed by many. Information provided by survivors.
