| The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Wednesday, June 1, 2016, 7a MaryLu Jones, age 86, of Prescott passed away on May 27, 2016. Lu was born in Downey, Idaho, on Feb. 8, 1930, to Robert Junius Condie and Sarah Burton and had one brother, Robert B. Condie. She was raised by her mother and stepfather, William M. Moon, in Downey, surrounded by her loving cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends. On Oct. 6, 1947 MaryLu and Edward L. Jones were married in Moscow, Idaho. They moved their young family to Phoenix, Arizona, in 1951. Surviving Lu is her loving husband, Ed; and their three children, Daniel (Teresa) Jones of Crowley, Texas, CindyLu Mayo of Chino Valley, Arizona, and Tamara (Dale) Close of Prescott, Arizona. MaryLu and Edward also have 12 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. Lu loved gardening, animals, sports and dancing and actively participated in various activities throughout the community and with the youth. She was very outgoing and determined and welcomed everyone with open arms. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and served a mission. She was a beautician and lifelong Tai Kwan do member. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 4, 2016, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (Sandretto Drive) in Prescott, Arizona. Arrangements are being made through Hampton Funeral Homes. Burial will be in the Arizona Pioneers Home Cemetery. Information provided by survivors. |
