Carolyn Wunderlich, 66, was called home to heaven on May 25, 2016, after a very difficult and long struggle with Alzheimer’s disease. Carolyn was born April 8, 1949, in Aurora, Colorado, to Billy and Gladys Houseworth.

Carolyn worked as a dental assistant and later as a veterinary assistant in Olympia, Washington. She loved animals, especially dogs and horses, and enjoyed hiking, travel, and family. She was the beloved wife of Robert Wunderlich and the beloved mother of Jennifer Fife of Phoenix. After retirement in Olympia, Washington, she moved with her husband to the Prescott Country Club in 2007.

In addition to her sister, Patricia, Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents. Carolyn is survived by her husband of 42 years, Robert; and by her daughter, Jennifer, who lovingly held her mother the moment she passed.

A service for Carolyn will be at 2 p.m., June 11, 2016, at Green Acres Mortuary, 401 N. Hayden Road, Scottsdale. Friends and acquaintances of the family are most welcome to attend. Pastor Diane Thomas of Faith United Community Church, Dewey, will preside at the service.

Arrangements were made through Shadow Mountain Mortuary, Phoenix.
