| The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Friday, June 5, 2016, page 7a Deborah Brown was born in San Jose, California in 1951 to Rita and Elkana Kent. She passed away May 15, 2016. Debi graduated from Westmont High School in Campbell, California in 1969. She married Jim Casey in 1971. Debi was a devoted and loving mother to her two children, Serena and Eli Casey, both born in Northern California. Jim and Debi divorced in late 1975. Debi and the kids moved to Arizona in 1978 and lived in Bisbee and Douglas before moving briefly to Texas, then back to Watsonville, California in 1983 before moving back to Arizona, her home. Debi met the love of her life, Mike Nelson, in May 1996 and married in November 1996. Debi went back to school at ASU and obtained her master’s degree in Social Work in 2014. She is survived by her husband of 20 years, Mike Nelson; ex-husband Jim Casey; daughter Serena Merrigan; son-in-law Steve Merrigan; son Eli Casey; daughter-in-law Judi Casey; and granddaughters, Viola, Mikayla and Cheyenne. She is loved and will be missed by all. A celebration of Debi’s life will be at 11 a.m. on June 11, 2016 at the LDS Church in Spring Valley. Information provided by survivors. |
