Warren Frank Murdock

Warren "Frank" Murdock, 67, of Camp Verde, passed away on May 17, 2016. He was born in Cottonwood, AZ to Walt and Ernestine, who preceded him in death along with his granddaughter Suzie Tasa.

He is survived by his wife Peggy, 4 children and spouses, 13 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and one on the way, 3 sisters, 2 brothers, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and many who called him Grandpa.

Frank came from a pioneer family who homesteaded in the Verde Valley in the 1800's. His childhood was spent in the valley and the surrounding mountains. He attended schools in Camp Verde and graduated in 1966.

He was drafted into the Army in 1968 and went through ranger training. He was wounded during a tour in Vietnam and was awarded a purple heart and many other medals and commendations. He exited the Army in 1970 with the rank of Sargent. He worked construction until he was hired on by Mountain Bell in 1973. He retired from Qwest in 2003.

He will be greatly missed by those who loved him.

There will be a "gathering" of family and friends on Saturday June 4 from 1 - 4 p.m. at the old high school gym in Camp Verde.
