Charles Yates

Charles Yates was found dead in bed in a room of his residence in southeast Prescott yesterday morning. His death is attributed to heart failure. He was a native of England; came to this country in 1863, and has resided here every since. He came to Prescott from Texas, but landed in New Orleans when he came from England. He has a brother and sister somewhere in California. He was a pioneer well digger of Prescott and had followed the business of digging wells and cleaning out wells for years.

Local Intelligence -

The funeral of the late Charles Yates took place from Logan's undertaking parlors yesterday afternoon. The remains were followed to their last resting place by a number of old timers. Rev. Bennett delivered the funeral talk.

Found Dead -

Charles Yates, an old time resident of Prescott, was found dead in his house this morning by George Giles. He had been sick for some time, but was around town as usual yesterday.

Charles Yates, an old time resident of Prescott, was found dead in his house this morning by George Giles. He had been sick for some time, but was around town as usual yesterday.

Heart disease is supposed to be the cause of death. Deceased was a native of England and was about 53 years old. He had resided in Prescott for over thirty years.
