| The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Tuesday, June 7, 2016, 5a Anne Peterson would like to inform all her friends and family in Prescott, Arizona, and across this great country that her work here is done. She devoted more than 82 years to raising you, teaching you right from wrong, solving your problems, feeding you, generously offering free advice, entertaining you, and making you laugh ‘til you cry, and now she is ready to relax. Anne was a Home Economics major in college, a choice that graciously served her friends and loved ones throughout her life. She was the consummate housewife, cook and entertainer, and the perfect mother to her three children and doting wife and socialite companion to her husband Brock, with whom she recently celebrated her 60th wedding anniversary. She was a teacher and served for many years as a child advocate for the juvenile court system in Missouri where she positively touched the lives of hundreds of children in addition to her own. She was a lover of life, nature, reading, golf, food, wine and spirits. Anne took it upon herself to serve as the life of the party everywhere she went, and in concert with her many other fine qualities, it is for this endearing quality that she will be most truly missed by all. Kathryn Anne Peterson was the only child of Herb and Georgia Williams of Durango, Colorado. She is survived by husband Brock Peterson of Prescott, Arizona; her children Dana, Derek and Kristy; and grandchildren Marin, Seth, Drew, Gage and Haley. Sadly, Anne missed the birth of her first great grandchild, Lincoln Brock Peterson, by 60 days. She will be painfully missed by her family, her myriad friends, the congregation of Trinity Presbyterian Church in Prescott, the publishers of all future murder-mystery/spy novels, the purveyors of Jack Daniel’s spirits, and the members of the Par-Tee Girls golf team. Without Anne the world will be a little quieter, a bit more somber and a lot less amusing. The night skies will shine less brightly, save the one twinkling new star that will smile down upon each of us and outshine all the rest. We love you Anne. Memorial services will be at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, June 8, 2016, at Trinity Presbyterian Church in Prescott. Information provided by survivors. |
