| The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Wednesday, June 8, 2016, 6a Lura M. Mahony, 91, born Nov. 11, 1924, in Nacogdoches, Texas, passed away June 3, 2016, in Prescott, Arizona. Arrangements by ABC Funerals. ----------------------- The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Thursday, June 9, 2016, 8a Lura Mahony was born on Nov. 11, 1924, and went peacefully to be with our Lord on June 6, 2016. She was born in Nacadochas, Texas, the youngest of five daughters. She grew up on a farm, but left in her early 20s to come to California, where she met and married Barney Mahony. She raised four children and had multiple pets and dogs along the way. She spent most of her life in Southern California and even lived on a sailboat for four years. She retired in Prescott when they sold their boat and again became land-lovers. She had many good friends and enjoyed the Arizona lifestyle. She is survived by Dennis and Patty, Margaret and Corey, Pat, three grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Funeral services will be held at Sacred Heart Church, 150 Fleury St., Prescott on Friday, June 10, at 10 a.m. Information provided by survivors. |
