| The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Sunday, June 12, 2016, 6a John Rollo, 84, of Covington, Tennessee, passed on June 6, 2016. John was a longtime resident of Arizona and California and the loving husband of June Kellett-Rollo. He is survived by three sons, Richard, Hunter and William; his daughter Heather; and many grandchildren. John was born in Buffalo, New York, became an Eagle Scout specializing in cold weather bivouacs, and following a distinguished career in the U.S. Army as a counter-intelligence agent, went on to teach young Scouts the skills, leadership and fortitude useful in making a happy and productive life. John spent his career building and managing Job Corp centers throughout the United States whereby youth from challenging backgrounds were taught practical skills with which to forge careers and achieve prosperity for themselves and their families. In short, John was a remarkably generous, honest and loving man who made a career of helping others help themselves. Even in death he continues this way of life by having donated his body to the University of Tennessee Health Science Center so that he might help young physicians begin their careers. He is and will be greatly missed by the many who love him. Information provided by survivors. |
