| Camp Verde Bugle, Cottonwood, Arizona Tuesday, June 14, 2016 Richard Marcus Odell, 91 of Cottonwood, born on August 21, 1924 died on Saturday, June 11, 2016. "Digger" -- to his friends -- was preceded in death by parents J.T. Odell and Willis Agnes England. Richard served in the US Navy from December 1941 - August 1984 and retired as a Chief Petty Officer/MM. Richard "Dick" Odell was a veteran and survived three wars; WWII, Korea and Vietnam. He was a member of the Cottonwood Mountain View United Methodist Church and is survived by spouse Marietta "Tudy" McFarlane-Odell and two stepdaughters; June E. Odell, mother of his four children: Gordon Edwin Odell, Dixie June Melvina Grace Odell Smith (Barry), James Richard Odell (Cheryl) and Ronald Mark Odell (Cindy); 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren and 6 stepchildren with spouse Carol Ann Rogers-Odell (deceased). Funeral services will be held at Westcott Funeral Home on Saturday, June 18, 2016. Visitation will begin at 12:30 p.m. with the service following at 1 p.m. Reception will follow at Mountain View United Methodist Church.
