Alden Merriam Howells

Alden Merriam Howells, a native of Oakland, California, passed away peacefully on June 8, 2016.

He is survived by his very beloved wife Gini (Virginia) Howells; his adoring daughters Linda Howells Sage and Lori Howells; and son-in-law Donald Sage. He was preceded in death by his two sisters, June Howells Spalding and Lorraine Howells Soltau.

Alden was a proud veteran of World War II, having served in the Army Air Corps in communications and intelligence. He began in the investment business as a novice and worked his way up to becoming a Stock Broker with his own business, A.M. Howells & Company, Inc.

At Alden’s request, his body has been donated to science. The family held a private ceremony sharing in their love for him. There will be no other memorial, as per his wishes.

Remembrances in his honor may be made to his favorite charity, the Yavapai Humane Society.
