William Irving (Lt. Col.) Lonigan

Lt. Col. William I. Lonigan, WW II U.S. Army Air Corp, died in Prescott, Arizona on June 13, 2016, after a brief illness.

He and his wife Genevieve enjoyed Dewey for their retirement years and the 1st Southern Baptist Church of Prescott Valley.

He is survived by four children, William Lonigan of Sacramento, California, Dr. Robert Lonigan of Salem, Oregon, Susan Burns of Bainbridge Is, Washington and Sally Bennett of Eugene, Oregon; 14 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and many dear friends.

He flew 162 air missions during WW II in the South Pacific and loved sharing his stories.
