Raymond Blumhoefer
October 2, 1937 - July 1, 2016

Raymond Blumhoefer, 78, of Morristown, Arizona, passed away peacefully in his home, on Friday, July 1, 2016, with his family by his side. Ray was born on October 2, 1937, in Redwood Falls, Minnesota, to George and Genevivie Blumhoefer. Ray was a Korean War veteran, and even left school early to join the Army, serving in the 5th Armored Division. After returning from Korea, Ray was stationed in Nevada, assigned to the nuclear test site. He was a true patriot.

He leaves his wife of 33 years, Carol Blumhoefer; his daughter, Cheryl Stasinos; his sons, Thomas Blumhoefer and William Northern; his grandchildren, Ashley Ruff, Lindsey Creager, Steven Blumhoefer, Summer Blumhoefer, Sailor Blumhoefer, and Justin Northern; his great grandchildren, Taylor, Madison, and Karson; and many close friends.

Ray cherished the simple things in life; he loved his family with all of his heart and devoted his life to taking care of them. He took pride in taking care of his home and yard, loved his Circle City community and neighbors, believed in working hard, never missed a Viking’s game, and couldn’t pass up an opportunity to eat at Denny’s, his favorite restaurant.

His life was a blessing, his memory a treasure, he is loved beyond words, and missed beyond measure.

A memorial service will be held at 9:00 a.m., on July 22, 2016, at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona. All friends and family are welcome to attend.
