Edwin Herbst Decker
July 4, 1930 - July 10, 2016

Herb Decker (age 86) passed away at home in Snowflake, Arizona on July 10, 2016 with his devoted wife Della by his side.

Beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, he is survived by his wife, "two and a half dozen children" (two boys and six girls): Debra Trezise, Jane (Brad) Finch, Edell (Glenn) Washburn, Cloann (Brent) Washburn, Kent (Heidi) Decker, Katie (Darrin) LeLevre, Phil (Peggy) Decker, and Lea (Adam) Browning; 27 grandchildren, 15 great- grandchildren, one sister, Eva Whitt; two brothers, Orville and Lowell, and many friends and loved ones.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edwin Z. and Sarah Rogers Decker and his sister and brother, Venola Lancaster and Clair Decker as well as a grandson, Quinton LeFevre.

Herb taught at Pima High School for ten years and Snowflake High School for twenty years. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. Herb was active in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many capacities, including a mission to the Western States Mission. He loved his animals almost as much as he loved his children.

A public visitation will be held Friday, July 15, 2016 from 6:00-8:00 at Owens-Livingston Mortuary, 84 E. 19 S., in Snowflake and again on Saturday, July 16 from 10:00-10:45 at the Main Street Chapel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 48 N. Main St., Snowflake.

Funeral Services will follow immediately at 11:00 am. Burial will be at the R.V. "Mike" Ramsay Memorial Cemetery.
